Hayley orrantia was born in the US. She is primarily an actor, however she is also a singer and songwriter. Many people recognize the name as Erica Goldberg, from the show 'The Goldbergs' on television. Her primary focus is as the performer. Music is her first love that she insists on; it's something that she started dabbling into when she was just nine years old. At the age of 12 the world of music had become significant enough that she was able to begin professional training. After experimenting with songwriting, she only recorded her first album of covers at the age of 14. From that moment on, she has never been back. Orrantia is of Hispanic heritage, yet was born in the USA. Though she's never spoken Spanish in Mexico However, she is very proud about her Hispanic culture. In order to maintain the tradition, she's studied Spanish and composed songs in that language. 'Hasta Verte' a song that she wrote in Spanish is one such attempt. Orrantia was a contestant on The X Factor during its first season, in summer 2011. Orrantia took home the very first season of The X-Factor after she submitted an YouTube audition video. She was awarded four "yes" votes by the judge on the live stage in Seattle. Originally auditioning as a soloist, she and three female vocalists were placed with three other singers for the last auditions in "Hollywood Week". The group was eliminated at the 5th week of the live performance.
