Silk was born in Fredericton located in New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk was an acclaimed actress, director and producer who taught at St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter, a distinguished academic. Some of Anna's earliest memories were playing rehearsals, and then watching her mother perform. Silk produced a number of commercials when she was still a kid. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced two of its first productions: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk moved from Toronto on November 29, 1999 in the month of November 1999 to Los Angeles during the next decade. Seth Cooperman was her future husband when she was introduced to him in an actor's workshop located in Los Angeles. They were married civilly in December 2009. The couple renewed their vows on April 10th, 2011 in Fredericton, after the bride converted to Judaism.
